Is there any other way of eating pasta if it’s not with a sauce? Be it Alfredo, Bolognese or Vodka Sauce, they all slap different. When it comes to cooking, you don’t have to make your life difficult by going overboard with hundreds of ingredients all in the name of making your meal delicious. Something that I came to learn was that simplicity is key. You can make a meal with as little as 5 ingredients but it is BOMB.COM! That is exactly what I did with this Oregano Chicken Pasta in Creamy Tomato Sauce.

A sauce that you can make and will be a fav in your household is the Creamy Tomato Sauce. It is also really good for solo nights and indoor date nights with a large glass of vino. Best thing is that it takes such minimal effort, you will be surprised with how delicious it is.

A little back story to how I got the idea to make this pasta…

We generally eat pasta so much in our household especially for weekday lunch because obviously, it’s quick to make. But we were eating the same pasta recipe over and over again, it reached a point where we didn’t enjoy it anymore. I wasn’t sure how they would react to this Oregano Chicken Pasta in Creamy Tomato Sauce and let them try it out. It has reached a point they are pestering me to make more! Now you understand how much they liked it. I kid you not, it will be an instant hit and leave that plate cleaner than how you got it off the cupboards! Thank me later!

Chicken Pasta - Spice & Heat

Ingredients

Chicken Marinade Dry Rub

Instructions

Pasta

  1. Boil a large amount of salted water for your pasta and cook it al dente according to package instructions.

Chicken

  1. Rub the chicken breast with the dry rub and set it aside for 15 minutes.

  2. Pan fry the chicken breast for 5 minutes on each side and set aside to rest.

Creamy Tomato Sauce

  1. Fry onions, dhania stalks and garlic until fragrant.

  2. Add tomatoes and tomato paste, cook until the tomatoes soften.

  3. Add mala, oregano, cumin, coriander, chilli flakes, black pepper, salt and cherry tomatoes.

    Let it cook for 3 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, cut the chicken breast in half and cut one half into small strips/cubes. Add in the tomato sauce.

  5. Add the pasta and mix it well. Garnish with dhania leaves and serve with the remaining chicken breast.

    Add a huge helping of the mozarella cheese as you serve.
