It’s the most wonderful time of the year🎵 It’s officially 24 DAYS TO CHRISTMAS!!! I don’t know why I am so excited this year! Normally, I am not in the Christmas spirit but NOW….I will be singing Christmas songs all day, decorating the house and drinking lots of Cinnamon Hot Chocolate to make it feel more festive.
Another way to make you feel more in the Christmas spirit is by making hot chocolate. I kid you not, total mood lifter. Not the normal kind of pre-mixed hot chocolate that just need to be dissolved in hot milk or water. When I tell you that you will feel all warm and giddy inside, I mean it. By the time you’re done making it, your house will smell like a bakery. There is just something about such warm scents that gets to me. It makes you feel relaxed and just makes you feel like you’re at home. Scents really do determine the mood you will be in.
The hot chocolate is thick because of adding corn flour. Fret not, you will not feel the taste. It just works as a thickener. You can alter the thickness by changing the quantity of the corn flour. Preferably, just use 1 tsp of corn flour. It won’t be too thick or too thin. The consistency will be just right.
2 reasons why you should put cinnamon in the hot chocolate is that cinnamon is a warm spice and that cinnamon flavor takes the hot chocolate a notch higher. For sure I will be drink lots of hot chocolate awaiting Christmas.
Top off the hot chocolate with marshmallows. A small tip, dunk the marshmallow in the hot chocolate and eat it, you’ll probably end up taking the hot chocolate that way!
Stay safe and HAPPY HOLIDAYS🎄
