Dips are quite common wherever you go. There are so many different types of dips. Guacamole can also count as a dip. I love my fair share of dips but with a twist. Charred dips are very very delicious. Charring is the burning of a veggie mostly to create a smoky flavor in the meal.
This Charred Tomato Dip works well with tortilla chips, spread on sandwiches and even snack platters. Movie nights at home never miss this dip these days. It’s so good!!

Charred Tomato Dip
Ingredients
- 2 Tomatoes
- 1/2 Green Pepper
- 1/2 Yellow Pepper
- 1/2 Red Pepper
- 3 Chillies
- 2 Limes
Instructions
- Char the tomatoes and peppers until the skin is botched with black spots. (You can char on a stove/jiko/grill)
- Remove the skin from the charred veggies.
- In a blender, add: the veggies, lime juice, chilies and salt.
- Blend and serve.
